誤會愛情原來不是「單純」兩個字，就能長相左右

音樂錄影帶意境完全以倪安東的思緒為藍圖，「這是一段真實的愛情經驗」，倪安東回憶時說著：「之前在美國唸書的時候，喜歡上一個女孩子，誤以為『第一眼』單純的喜歡就是愛情，開始交往一段時間才瞭解自己對愛情的誤解，在沒有與女生說清楚的情形下，我為了要追尋唱歌夢想離開了她。」自己心中早已確定會離開她，卻因為害怕傷害對方遲遲不敢開口說出「不喜歡妳的實情」，日復一日的拖延，最後讓倪安東藉著回台圓夢提出分手，事後非常懊悔與自私，想要藉由「Sorry That I Loved You」說聲對不起，浪費了她的青春，最後歌詞寫道「But I’m hoping “im sorry” will open your mind但我真心希望，這句抱歉能打開妳的心房To love love love love in your life好讓妳在未來還能繼續去愛」，希望傳遞給遠方的女主角。
